Warrior CARE Events

Warrior CARE events are a one-week event for all wounded, ill, or injured Air Force service members (whether Active Duty, Retired, or Separated) and authorized Caregivers. The event features education in Caregiver Support, Recovering Airman Mentorship and Employment and Career Readiness. We also feature Adaptive Sports & Resiliency Program training and competition, preparing the next crop of potential competitors for the Department of Defense Warrior Games and Invictus Games sponsored by Prince Harry. The Warrior CARE events are a holistic wellness event featuring all of these elements along with art and music therapy.

testimonials

"I've enjoyed every minute since I got home from my first CARE Event (at Offutt AFB, Ne.). From joining a wheelchair basketball team to writing new songs for the next event and having the courage to ask the VA to assist in my recovery by getting a new wheelchair and sports equipment; I would have never done that before. I was at the end of my rope prior to attending and knew that something bad could happen if I didn't attend.

Thank you SO MUCH for blessing me at the right moment of my life. With what felt like a broken heart I attended with little faith that my life could changed, but I was wrong. My life changed forever! Thank you is not enough. My heart is healing one day at a time."

--Abigail Foster, SSgt (Ret.), USAF
