The Invisible Wounds Initiative (IWI) engages Airmen, families, care providers, and leadership to improve the perception of invisible wounds, remove barriers to care, enhance continuum of care processes, and provide an equitable and supportive environment for Airmen living with invisible wounds.
An invisible wound is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); traumatic brain injury (TBI); or other cognitive, emotional, or behavioral conditions associated with trauma experienced by the individual.
