Retired Senior Airman John Berry takes a moment after his race to catch his breath and focus his attention. He competed in the first Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) Virtual Track & Field competition at JBSA-Randolph, Tex. this morning. In the current climate of physical distancing, AFW2 endeavors to continue maintaining a connection with wounded warriors and their caregivers. They do this through live virtual events on social media and have begun holding competitive events like this one for athletes to stay engaged with adaptive sports and with the staff of AFW2.
