Purple road to resiliency

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jesus Soto’s five ton gun truck is now displayed at the Maxwell Air Force Base Aviation Museum. On Nov. 21, 2005, this truck was involved in an incident at Forward Operating Base Speicher, Iraq. Soto was a gunner during that time and was thrown from the gunner position when the truck tried to remove a hostile vehicle from infiltrating their convoy. (Courtesy Photo)
