Mission
The mission of the Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) Non-Governmental Organization Program (NGO-P) is to create effective channels of support for AFW2 Warriors, Veterans, Caregivers and families through donations and Commercial Sponsorships.
Since the AFW2 Adaptive Sports Program is a Category A, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Program Component of the Warfighter and Family Services (WFS), the NGO-P facilitates the non-medical rehabilitation of seriously wounded, ill and injured Airmen through Adaptive Sports and Warrior C.A.R.E events while fostering the resiliency of families and caregivers.
C.A.R.E events provide a holistic approach which integrates restorative care and services for seriously wounded, ill and injured Airmen, Caregivers and families…all in one platform.
Vision
The NGO-P’s vision is to cultivate, document, and maintain unsolicited sponsorship and donation opportunities to support the AFW2 Category A, MWR component of WFS by building viable relationships with external agencies in support of Air Force Wounded Warrior (AFW2) initiatives for program affiliated service members, families, Veterans, and those who care for them.
Goals
Ease financial obstacles enabling AFW2 Warriors, Caregivers and families to participate in Adaptive Sports and Warrior C.A.R.E events which strengthen mental, physical, spiritual and social well-being while connecting with programs that aid in recovery and resiliency.
